As part of Wigan Council’s World Social Work Fortnight of Practice, Why Not I delivered a keynote session focused on mental resilience, stress management, and personal growth. Drawing from experiences in elite sport, business, and mental health advocacy, the session provided real-life insights and practical strategies to help social workers navigate the challenges they face daily.

The engagement sparked honest and open conversations about mental health, well-being, and the pressures of high-performance environments, creating space for reflection and learning. The interactive Q&A and post-session discussions highlighted the importance of mental resilience in frontline work, ensuring that those supporting others also have the tools to take care of their own well-being.
